HEDP Inhibition effect of some scale inhibitors on calcium sulfate scale

     Calcium sulfate is usually considered as a simple compound, the main form of which is 2H2O - CaSO4, CaSO4 and 1/2H2O - CaSO4. In the circulating cooling water system, due to the solubility of calcium sulfate is much higher than the water more common calcium carbonate, thus failed to induce people put emphasis on calcium sulfate scale, but with the operation condition of high concentration ratio and adding sulfuric acid to control the alkalinity or pH operation plan implementation, calcium sulfate scaling tendency is greatly increased, the water quality for high hardness or high sulfate and the fouling potential of the trend is more obvious. In the oil and gas industry and caso4-2h2o is scaling the most common form of existence, a direct impact on the production and safety of oil and gas; in the process of brine transportation long found lost in the brine pipeline wall appear obvious scaling, which is also the main component of CaSO4·2H2O.

    For decades, people in the camera developed many prevent calcium sulfate scaling method, which scale inhibitor because of its easy to use and widely used, common calcium sulfate inhibitor mainly includes organic phosphonic acid, water soluble polymers and surface active agent. Therefore, this paper selects amino trimethylene phosphonic acid (ATMP) and diethylene triamine penta methylene phosphonic acid (dtpmpa), 2 - phosphonic acid butane 1,2,4 tricarboxylic acid (PBTCA) and hexamethylene diamine tetra (methylene phosphonic acid (HDTMP), polyaspartic acid (PASP), polyepoxysuccinic acid (PESA), polyacrylic acid (PAA), polymaleic acid (HPMA) 、HEDP agents to evaluate the performance of calcium sulfate scale inhibition, and the inhibition mechanism was discussed.
